What is the Empire State Beer Distributors Association And Who Belongs?
The Empire State Beer Distributors Association is a trade association representing the interests of the C licensee in all segments of the Government. The C License, “grandfathered” in 1961 by Governor Rockefeller, allows its owner the ability to wholesale as well as retail, beer, soda and other assorted beverages. The Association is comprised of over 450 members Statewide.
Our member businesses range from small and mid-range retail locations to larger wholesale oriented distribution outlets. Collectively Empire State Beer Distributors Association members are responsible for over 40% of all beer sold in many of the regions of New York State. C- license Beverage Centers as rank as the largest redeemers of returnable beverage containers under the present NY State Bottle Bill.

Empire State Beer Distributors Association has been acting on behalf of C licensees since its inception in 1951. Many of our staff and Executive Board members average over 20 years of experience in the beverage distribution industry.
What does Empire State Beer Distributors Association do?
The primary function of the Association is to serve as the advocate for C licensees in the State political and legislative arena; working for policies that create a healthier economic climate, less encumbered by taxes and government intervention. In short, we serve as the eyes, ears and voice on hundreds of issues that impact the beverage industry.
